wrymfterrill Loved y’all since the first time I heard “Medicine” and was lucky enough to review Libido Speedway for the student newspaper in college. Glad you’re still at it (however intermittently) and looking forward to whatever stuff (new or old) you’ve got coming here. Favorite track: Nice Ride (Live on WFNX).

Joseph Wyman And boom! It feels like I’m back in Boston or Cambridge 30 years ago ( wishing I actually was!). Such an amazing band whose music always sounds fgn great to me whether that be older tracks like “Nice Ride” or the new ones! Here’s to hoping some vinyl releases are planned! Thanks for this awesome live track and looking forward to more!

P.S. G’damn, that’s some top-notch drumming. Favorite track: Nice Ride (Live on WFNX).

about

"Nice Ride" is a staple live song for Boston's indie rock outfit ORBIT. Recorded off the broadcast board while playing live on 101.7 WFNX on Feb, 25, 2021. The hypnotic drums, bass and guitars sound as raw as the dank rainy winter eventing just outside the studio in Lynn, Massachusetts. Jeff Robbins takes the song on a joyride with 2 extended guitar solos - keeping the band in the lurch to any upcoming chord changes - making for an unforgettable Orbit performance for the longtime fan - or first time listener. This ani't no DJ!

about

Orbit Boston, Massachusetts

In 1994, when guitarist/lead singer Jeff Robbins and drummer Paul Buckley formed Orbit, they agreed the most important part of being in the band was the music. So, they made the music they wanted to hear. And it was well received. Orbit released La Mano on their own label Lunch Records. In 1997, A&M released Libido Speedway which spawned the single "Medicine" and landed on Lollapalooza tour. ... more
